GOD IS FAITHFUL +

Speaking through John, the Holy Spirit says, “Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well.”  (3 John verse 2)

God encourages us by saying, “Don’t get tired of helping others. You will be rewarded when the time is right, if you don’t give up.”  (Galatians 6:9)   This also implies that we are not to give up on various tasks that we have in life.  So often, unbeknownst to them, just before accomplishing the goal(s) people give up.  It has been said the greatest trials come just before we get the greatest blessing.  So we must not give up!

Beloved, God’s Word says, “Remember this: Whoever turns a sinner from the error of his way will save him from death and cover over a multitude of sins.”  (James 5:20)

God’s Word also says that, “He who wins souls is wise.”  (Proverbs 11:30)

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward.  It is the Lord Christ you are serving.”  (Colossians 3:23-24)

We must remember as the Body of Christ we are made up of, “Many parts, but one body. The eye cannot say to the hand, “I don’t need you!” And the head cannot say to the feet, “I don’t need you!” (1 Colossians 12:20-21)

What ever your ministry is it is significant to God.   I like to use the example of a basketball team.  One player may snatch the rebound.   He passes it to number 14, who then passes to number 4, who passes to number 22, who then passes it number 2 breaking for the basket.  Number 2 puts the ball in the hoop and draws huge applause from the crowd.   While number 2 gets the adulation from the crowd we all know that the other four players each played a part.  Also we must realize that the coach, the players on the bench, and the crowd cheering them on also played a part.  So whether we sing for the Lord, usher, work with the children, pray or whatever we must realize how significant our roles are to God.   So the pastor or speaker gives an alter call and people get saved we are all taking part in this greatest of miracles.

If you take time to study you will find that any of he great moves of God throughout history have come as a result of God’s people getting serious about prayer, and seeking God’s face.  For God says, If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven…”   (2 Chronicles 7:14)

We must remember that God is faithful.  He never made a promise that He has not kept or is in the process of fulfilling.  It is so important to get the full counsel of God on whatever the subject may be.  God does not make mistakes.  He is perfect.  In the fruit of the spirit He includes patience.  It is just as the song says, “We can’t hurry God; we just have to wait.”

God is so Awesome!   He is Perfect and Holy. He is completely honest.  He is attentive to His promises.  He carefully watches over His Word.  He does not make mistakes.  He says, “For I am watching to see that my word is fulfilled.”

God’s faithfulness

“Know therefore that the LORD your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commands.  (Deuteronomy 7:9)

“For the LORD your God is a merciful God; he will not abandon or destroy you or forget the covenant with your forefathers, which he confirmed to them by oath. (Deuteronomy 4:31)

“He remembers his covenant forever, the word he commanded, for a thousand generations.”  (Psalm 105:8)

“God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?  (Numbers 23:19)

“Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.  (Hebrews 10:23)

“If we are faithless, he will remain faithful, for he cannot disown himself.”   (2 Timothy 2:13)

“The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient  with you….”       (2 Peter 3:9)

“Praise be to the LORD, who has given rest to his people Israel just as he promised. Not one word has failed of all the good promises he gave…” (1 Kings 8:56)

“O LORD, you are my God; I will exalt you and praise your name, for in perfect faithfulness you have done marvelous things, things planned long ago.  (Isaiah 25:1)

“Those who know your name will trust in you, for you, LORD, have never forsaken those who seek you.”  ( Psalm 9:10)

“All your words are true; all your righteous laws are eternal.”   (Psalm 119:160)

“Your word, O LORD, is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens.  Your faithfulness

continues through all generations…”  (Psalm 119:89, 90)

“He who is the Glory of Israel does not lie or change his mind; for he is not a man, that he should change his mind.”  (1 Samuel 15:29)

“For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God.”  (2 Corinthians 1:20)

“I will not violate my covenant or alter what my lips have uttered.”  (Psalm 89:34)

“Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,” says the LORD, who has compassion on you.  (Isaiah 54:10)

“What I have said, that will I bring about; what I have planned, that will I do.”  (Isaiah 46:11)

“That day David first committed to Asaph and his associates this Psalm of thanks to the LORD: Give thanks to the LORD, call on his name; make known among the nations what he has done. Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts. Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice. Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always. Remember the wonders he has done, his miracles, and the judgments he pronounced, O descendants of Israel his servant, O sons of Jacob, his chosen ones. He is the LORD our God; his judgments are in all the earth. He remembers his covenant forever, the word he commanded, for a thousand generations, the covenant he made with Abraham, the oath he swore to Isaac. He confirmed it to Jacob as a decree, to Israel as an everlasting covenant: “To you I will give the land of Canaan as the portion you will inherit.” When they were but few in number, few indeed, and strangers in it, they wandered from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another. He allowed no man to oppress them; for their sake he rebuked kings: “Do not touch my anointed ones; do my prophets no harm.” Sing to the LORD, all the earth; proclaim his salvation day after day. Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples. For great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; he is to be feared above all gods.  For all the gods of the nations are idols, but the LORD made the heavens.  Splendor and majesty are before him; strength and joy in his dwelling place.  Ascribe to the LORD, O families of nations, ascribe to the LORD glory and strength, ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name. Bring an offering and come before him; worship the LORD in the splendor of his holiness. Tremble before him, all the earth! The world is firmly established; it cannot be moved. Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad; let them say among the nations, “The LORD reigns!  Let the sea resound, and all that is in it; let the fields be jubilant, and everything in them!  Then the trees of the forest will sing, they will sing for joy before the LORD, for he comes to judge the earth. Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.  Cry out, “Save us, O God our Savior; gather us and deliver us from the nations, that we may give thanks to your holy name, that we may glory in your praise.” Praise be to the LORD, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting. Then all the people said “Amen” and “Praise the LORD.”  (1 Chronicles 16:7-36)

Jesus loves you.
