WINNING SOULS

WINNING SOULS

As a Christian you may not be called to be a worldwide evangelist but you are called to share the gospel and be a vessel for leading as many people into a personal relationship with Jesus as God will give you.

Please note that when I share with you certain people prayed the sinner’s prayer it is not to impress you nor do we as Christians compete with one another. It is meant for you to rejoice with me and those in heaven. “There is joy in the presence of God’s angels over one who repents” (Luke 15:10 NLT). If we boast over our accomplishments or the things we here on earth (HEY, LOOK WHAT I DID!!) we lose our rewards in heaven. “When you give to someone in need, don’t do as the hypocrites do—blowing trumpets in the synagogues and streets to call attention to their acts of charity! I tell you the truth, they have received all the reward they will ever get” (Luke 6:2).

“Therefore, as the Scriptures say, “If you want to boast, boast only about the LORD” (1 Corinthians 1:21).

“But those who wish to boast should boast in this alone: that they truly know me and understand that I am the LORD who demonstrates unfailing love and who brings justice and righteousness to the earth, and that I delight in these things. I, the LORD, have spoken” (Jeremiah 9:24).

2 things re: this matter

1. Though we should not seek to be noticed our significance is found in how we serve others. But serving our fellowmen should be distinguished from enabling people.

2. My personal sense of satisfaction is not based on whether or not I get personal credit for my role in helping another person to succeed but in knowing that I did my part.
